All right. So, this week we have a new special secret to expose. I want to start by saying I’ve always gone into honey shops and everyone is telling me UMF here, UMF there, UMF everywhere, right?

So, Terry, for all the viewers right now when they are buying honeys, the first thing is that does all honey have UMF?
Terry:
No. So, the word UMF stands for unique Manuka factor, and it’s only applicable for Manuka Honey, and especially they need to be tested by the Manuka Board in New Zealand.

All right. Thanks for that. So for those of you that do not know what is UMF, I hope you know now what is the meaning of UMF. UMF is only found in Manuka Honey. So you can’t get UMF actually in your raw honey and whatever fake honey that you are having at home. All right.
Mark Leong:
All right. So now, Terry, I believe all of us now understand better of what UMF stands for, and UMF is only applicable for Manuka Honey. So assuming one of the viewers now, when you are going for your Manuka Honey shopping again, what would be the best Manuka grade should they go for, or what would be the indicators to tell them that it is a good Manuka that they should be buying?
Terry:
Right. So, a few things to look out for is that if you buy Manuka you need to look to see if the brand has their Manuka certified by the Manuka Board in New Zealand. So they will have a registration number. The next thing is that you want to buy Manuka Honey that’s UMF 10 plus at least, for it to be effective.

Ah. Thank you. So one of the key indicators is that minimumly your UMF level has to be 10 plus and above. Okay. So if you are getting anything below that don’t bother and waste your money. All right.
