This message is dedicated to any of you out there battling cancer or other health conditions and you are holding on to your life and you feel like giving up. If you feel like there is no hope, if you feel like you’re all alone in this battle, even your doctors or your healers tell you there is no cure. Your family members or the people around you don’t have the answers that you are looking for apart from only giving you the moral support. You feel like giving up this precious thing called “life.
I want you to know, miracles do happen at moments like this. It’s important you think and stay positive always. The mind is the most powerful instrument you will ever have to get you through this challenge. There is no science in the world can put a measurement to the amazing things we can achieve with our mind power.
I know it’s painful, but do not focus on the pain as it will pass. Do the things you always wanted for yourself or with your loved ones. Don’t hold back your emotions and thoughts. Talk about it with the people you are comfortable with. Share your love, joy, or fear with the people dearest to you, even if tomorrow is not your last day.
It doesn’t matter what religion you hold, just pray to feed your soul, because there is always someone else watching us beyond this world. If you are able to eat, get nutritious food into your body, because the right food will help you go a long way. Never let anybody tell you it’s over. They don’t hold the clock to your life. But most importantly, never ever tell yourself it’s over.
Don’t spend too much time alone, make use of the time you have wisely and keep yourself occupied as long as your body is able. Watch some comedies because it’s great to have a good laugh. Throw the calendar away and stop counting the days, because you have a long way to go.
I want you to know, I am with you and these are the exact words I wished I had spoken to my Father. And these words of mine reached you because the people around you care for you and are with you. Your family and friends can only be accompanying you to the battle, but it is you that have to fight it. We can choose how we want to live the days we have and never give up as long as your heart is still beating.
I wish you all the best and don’t forget to ring me for a drink to share your amazing life story on battling death. This is Mark Leong. I wish to make the world a better place by making it a healthier place.
